American Hard Bag Aggressor Pro 80 Subwoofer Kit

The Aggressor Pro 80 subwoofer mounting kit for Harley Davidson motorcycles provides a sturdy and serviceable mounting location for two 8” subwoofers. This kit is designed to reinforce the saddlebag with the structure required for more sound output.

What is needed and what is included in the Aggressor Pro 80- Kit

Tools Needed
• Plunge router
• Standard pattern flush trim bit (bearing on the shaft side)
• Jig saw
• 7/64” drill bit
• ⅛” drill bit
• Phillips screwdriver/screw gun
• Right angle adapter for Phillips bit
• Masking tape

Included in the Kit
• Left & right side Aggressor woofer mounts
• Router jig x 2 (MDF)
• Gasket material
• Stainless steel hardware to mount the kit to the bag
• Stainless steel hardware to mount the woofer to the kit
• Double sided mounting tape (for the grills)
• Powder coated steel speaker grills x 2

Step 1 - Remove the Bags

Remove the lids and then the bags from the bike. Tip: the lids are a lot easier to remove when the bags are still mounted to the bike.

Place the bags on a soft surface and tape up the outside of your bags to protect the paint.

Step 2 - Tape it Up

Cover the area inside of the bag where the woofer mounting kit will be placed with light colored masking tape.

In the image here, I have used paper sign vinyl transfer tape instead of masking tape, but any light colored masking tape will do.

Step 3 - Marking the Woofer Mount Location Inside of the Bag

Mount the 8” woofer to the woofer mount and place it inside of the bag. You want the woofer on the mounting kit when you do this so that you can be sure that you are accounting for woofer clearance. It is not unusual for the woofer basket to be able to interfere with the extrusion at the bottom of the bag.

Position the entire assembly as far down in the bag and as far forward in the bag as it can go yet still remain entirely on the flat surface of the bag wall. Then move the mount upward slightly (about 3/16”) so that the mount and woofer are not touching any part of the bottom of the bag. You want a very small gap here. Pay attention to the rotation of the mount. Keep things soiree as you move the mount around.

Pay attention to the rear bag fastener hole. Remember that you will need enough clearance around this hole for the rubber bushing to go back in place without interfering with the woofer mount.

Once in the correct position, mark the bag with a pen or pencil so that you will be able to accurately reacquire this same location in the next step.
