The RZA1000.4 is the very best-sounding amplifier made specifically for Harley use. The Velocity RZA500.2 amplifier has been designed to be the best sounding powerhouse amplifier available for Harley audio applications. At Velocity Speaker Design we got sick of dealing with the makeshift amplifiers that other companies put out there. We decided to build our own amplifiers that did not cut corners on top level performance and we designed them so ther are better engineered for the motorcycle environment. 

BETTER SUSTAINED POWER

Velocity amplifiers provide far better-sustained power than other amplifiers anyway, but by using twin 2-channel amplifiers you get double the power supplies and even more stable power output. Who cares what ridiculous power numbers the competition is claiming on their amplifiers that are measured at a 1/1000th of a second burst? That is not power you can hear. Velocity amplifiers are able to sustain rated power indefinitely. And you can absolutely hear that power all day long.

TWO CHANNELS IS BETTER THAN FOUR 

Whether you are looking for the best fitment, best performance, or best system design options, there are many advantages to multiple 2 channel amplifiers over amplifiers with more channels onboard. We designed the RZA500.2 amplifier to work in pairs when installed in the faring. That is why you can easily fit two of them side by side in Street Glide and Electra Glide fairings with plenty of room left over for your DSP without any modifications to the bike. When used with our Velocity 8 DSP this nets you 8 fully active channels! In Road Glides you can fit 3 for a total of 10 channels. Running multiple 2 channel amplifiers gives you much more flexibility when it comes to fitment. Multiple 2 channel amplifiers also have a distinct power supply performance advantage as well. With dedicated 8 gauge runs to the battery, 2 channel amplifiers are able to tap larger surges of energy more efficiently than an equivalent 4 channel amplifier, and that equates to performance that you can hear. 

FULL CHASSIS HEATSINK 

The RZA500.2 uses a full chassis heatsink that covers the entire top and bottom of the amplifier instead of using a flimsy sheet metal bottom like other amplifiers. This amounts to an amplifier that can be more firmly mounted in many applications. The added heat sink mass also allowed us to push the performance limitations of this amplifier

The Velocity OverDrive speaker system emits much more sound for every watt of amplifier power and is designed to perform in a saddlebag. Built for Use With Additional Bag Woofers
The OverDrive speaker setup with R690 woofers is our go-to speaker system whenever using additional woofers down in the bags. This is because we designed the R690 6x9 woofers to play well with other speakers in the same bag. This includes 8-inch and 10-inch subwoofers and mid-woofers. Not only is the bass response of the R690 woofers not affected by the presence of bag woofers, but the R690 also has the motor strength and suspension to push back on the added air pressure to produce even more output on the bottom end.

S8 DSP processes the audio signal with 96 kHz / 24-bit resolution and has obtained the Hi-Res certification from the JAS (Japan Audio Society), an acknowledgment that certifies the extreme level of audio performance achieved.

The powerful 32-bit DSP manages 6 high/low-level analog input channels, one digital coaxial input, and 8 output channels, offering maximum freedom of configuration to the specialist. The SPDIF coaxial input is ideal for digital connection with a Hi-Res player, a solution that allows for maximum listening quality. For each of the eight output channels we have a level control, the 15-pole parametric equalizer, time delays, and crossover filter available. The 7-band parametric equalizer of the input signal allows obtaining a flat response from OEM sources, which often have an exaggerated emphasis on the low frequency.

Fitment: 2014 and up Road Glide, Street Glide, Electra Glide, Ultra, CVO, and all amplified and non amplified variations. Amplifier bypass plugs required for all factory amplified systems.?Amplifier bypass plugs are available. Balanced speaker level on RCA, requires an amplifier or DSP that is designed to accept speaker level in on RCA connection (most all quality amplifiers and DSPs do accept speaker level, but check your equipment to make sure). CVO and bikes that only have fairing speakers will require a radio flash to enable the rear RCA output. You can flash your own bike with a separate single bike flash tool.

The kit comes complete with stainless wire inlets that keep water out and clamp the cable in place. Each saddlebag input section of the harness has waterproof quick disconnects rated for more than 500 watts of insane amplifier power on each pin!

The deluxe version comes with a service disconnect at the lid and a 4 pin Molex connector on the amplifier end that is directly plug and play with Harley radios as well as all American Hard Bag, Musway, and Velocity amplifier 4 pin disconnects. These small changes require quite a few additional components and sections to be added to the wire harness assembly but the end result is a slam dunk of an install and a much more serviceable audio system overall.
