The RZ10 is unlike other 10" woofers. This mid-woofer features several design characteristics that enable it to perform in a saddlebag at high volumes, where a typical car audio subwoofer would struggle. With a lower voice coil inductance, the RZ10 plays a much wider frequency range than traditional subwoofers. This allows it to acoustically reinforce the lower end of the range that lid and fairing speakers produce, delivering a much more aggressive punch at the bottom end. The result is a sound you can't achieve with a subwoofer limited to 100Hz and below, like those used in car audio systems. The RZ10 plays from 45Hz to 400Hz and does not require a low-pass crossover (a high-pass crossover is required). The speaker naturally rolls off above 400Hz on its own, eliminating the need for equalization or a low-pass crossover.
