Bypass the Factory Fosgate Amplifier: Keep Your Factory Saddlebag Connections Intact and Fully Functional
This harness loops the amplifier input circuits to the amplifier output circuits when removing a factory Harley Davidson saddlebag-mounted amplifier. It allows the signal circuits at the front of the bike to connect directly to the lid speakers without any cutting. The factory saddlebag plugs remain intact, eliminating the need for aftermarket speaker lines to be run from front to back on the bike.
NOTE: For 2021-2023 bikes with the Fosgate for Harley amplifier installed in the bag, the wiring differs from the previous Boom2 systems. If you are using our Radio T-Harness, an additional harness is required along with the bypass plug.
Key Points:
- When installing the Radio T-Harness and RF Bypass plug, the front and rear outputs to the RCAs are reversed. The rear output of the radio appears on the front RCAs of the T-Harness, and the front output of the radio appears on the rear RCAs. This is easy to switch and not a significant issue.
- The rear speaker wires on the T-Harness connect to the saddlebag lid speakers without issue. However, the front speaker wires from the T-Harness do not connect to the front speaker pods.
- To resolve this, you can connect the front output of the amp to the fairing speaker pods manually. Alternatively, you can use the VWH-FPOD harness we offer, which provides convenient disconnects for the fairing pods.
